Sinopse: O Death Note, pode ser usado por qualquer uma pessoa, Raito o utiliza para se tornar o Deus do novo mundo, e acabar com tudo que existe de mau em nosso mundo, mas a policia tem outra visão de Kira (Raito), eles pensam que ele é um assassino e tentam descobrir como ele mata as pessoas, e quer também prender o tal Kira.
L o maior detetive do mundo, chefe da policia mundial, desafia Kira, pela televisão... Ryuuku e o Raito não são amigos, Ryuuku o segue por que está entediado, e só conversa com ele pra saber o que Raito vai fazer.
Kira veio do nome Kill (Matar) no Inglês, por mais que Raito seja japônes, Raito é um dos melhores alunos do Japão, e consegue uma bolsa para sua faculdade, Raito é filho do chefe da policia japonesa.
